| Job Description |
Currently looking for a Graphic Artist with focus on web and interactive design.
You have a refined eye for design and an acute attention to detail. You are not only a talented designer but also a strategic thinker with at least 3 years experience working on websites. You are passionate about learning and experimenting with new technologies and enjoy looking at innovative design approaches and ideas. You love creative business challenges. You can switch quickly between several projects and the Creative Director can trust you with driving projects from start to completion.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Design print and electronic marketing collateral for new and existing products.
Use your creative writing skills to create marketing copy to be used in marketing collateral.
Work with the Creative Director and the Product Manager in the design and implementation of working user interface prototypes.
Create, update and maintain both corporate websites.
Design ads creatively using flash and other technologies.
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
Expert knowledge of user interface design principles and good practices.
Advanced knowledge of Flash.
Advanced knowledge of HTML 4.01+, XHTML, CSS and Javascript.
Experience with content management systems.
Experience with SEO practices.
Experience with the implementation of e-commerce platforms.
Experience managing CPC online marketing campaigns.
Experience designing websites with accessibility in mind.
Experience with SFTP and SSH software. Working knowledge of CVS is preferred.
Experience with the Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel and Power Point.
Experience dealing with printing companies and their requirements.
Experience with video editing tools such as Final Cut or Premiere and video compression for the web an asset, but not required.
Mac users preferred, but PC users with the experience outlined above are also welcome to apply.
